Its hard to believe that W.A.S.P. Album One was released over 40 years ago August 1984 but with such timeless classics of shear sleazy ballsy rock that still to this day churn your soul, although a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then we were left thinking what can we expect and has Blackie still got the pipes to carry through.

It was like stepping back into the eighties as Blackie strolled out to the blood red strobes and gave us all just that, from the very beginning the answer was yes Blackie still has it and then some, The crowd were eager with anticipation as the first full blown power chords of ‘I Wanna Be Somebody’ rang out the crowd were already in full rock mode by the time ‘LOVE Machine’ kicked us in the balls, Blackie still has his undeniable knack of enrapturing the crowd as he rocked and weaved from side to side which further enticed the crowd ‘Love Machine’ followed by ‘B.A.D.’ Album One was definitely ‘Alive’

‘Skooldaze’ rang out around the hall which envigored the appreciative crowd until the pace was slowed ever so slightly for ‘Sleeping in the Fire’ signalling the end of Album One was the hard rocker ‘The Tortue Never Stops’
There was a couple of minutes of silence and darkness before Blackie and co returned to the stage with one of two medleys ‘Inside the Electric Circus, ‘I Don’t Need No Dr’ ‘Scream Until You Like It’ followed by medley 2 ‘Real Me’ ‘Forever Free’ and ‘The Headless Children’

Longtime guitarist Doug Blair ripped up the stage with flair and ballsy attitude while Mike Duda held down the low end backed up by Aquiles Priester the newest addition to the line up although he has to record an album with the band he commands the throne like he has been there from the beginning
The encore featured full length versions of ‘Wild Child’ followed by ‘Blind In Texas’ coming in at around an 80 minute set is was one for the ages old fans and a new generation went home with a massive Blackie like grin on there faces.
