Bad Valentines are a Helsinki based band that owe a few pints to the arena-stomping
glamsters and punkrock purveyors of the 1970 ́s as well as the giants of 1960 ́s pop.
Defiant and uncompromising, they ́ve concocted a potent brew of life, love and grit that
conveys perfectly the sign of these times.
Most members of Bad Valentines are veterans of the Finnish indie and underground
music scene and have previously made names for themselves in acts including Daggerplay
and Plastic Tears. Kicking up the dust is the energetic newcomer vocalist Hon.
The forthcoming EP, “Memory Tattoos”, which band recorded with producers Petri Majuri
(Franz Ferdinand, Michael Monroe, Hanoi Rocks, Havana Black etc.) and Sammy Aaltonen
(Andy McCoy, Private Line etc.) will be released in April 2025.
Bad Valentines are: Hon on lead vocals, Pekko Mantzin on guitar and backing vocals, Kupe
Wessman on guitar and backing vocals, Bryan Ugartechea on bass and Sirpa Immonen on
drums.
‘Memory Tattoos’ marks the band’s debut EP and features four tracks, including the
previously released singles ‘Mariia’ and ‘Last Days In The Sun’. The EP’s two brand new songs offer listeners an even deeper dive into Bad Valentines’ signature melodic and energetic indie-rock sound.
